no turbulence and wheather radar

hello, im using p3dv5 and quite some airplane addons like pmdg qualitywings and fslabs but in none of them i have experienced turbulence or seen some turbulence in the wheather radar. i'm using "direct" mode have i done something wrong ?

pmdg and fslabs require only another weather engine (from another developer) for the correct display of the weather radar, you can find this in the manual.
not sure about qualitywings but probably the same
as for the feeling of turbulence, let's check it out in historical weather at the same time and place
