FS9 weather not updating winds after takeoff?

I have been having issues with winds updating straight after takeoff.
I can tell that the weather is updating as cloud formations are changing but with winds - FSrealWX doesn't seem to update these. In cruise I can have winds of 207 @ 6 knots which is unrealistic.
I normally ...
1) Load FS9
2) Load my aircraft at my departure airport (inc. gate)
3) Load my flight plan
4) Go to desktop and load FSrealWX ... let it auto connect etc
5) Click on Set [icao] WX as this seems to be the only way to get the weather loaded correctly currently
6) Let FSrealWX run in the background
Am I doing something wrong?
My settings are as follows:

"Connect" and "Download WX" should be enough.
If you find an error, then please give me exactly about your system. Which sim (FSX / P3D / Xplane). Which connection (FSUIPC / SimConnect / FSrealWX-Bridge). Which OS.
